ePassporte
www.ePassporte.com
ePassporte is an online payment solution allowed by most poker sites. Using ePassporte, you can deposit money online or make purchases anywhere Visa is accepted.
When you have an ePassporte account you will be to deposit cash instantly. With a standard account, there is a $300 daily transfer limit, but you have the option to upgrade to a $600 daily transfer limit. The upgrade costs $5 and will only be possible if you have been a member for three months or have two verified load options.
ePassporte takes out a 2%-5% fee on the deposited amount. There have been complaints about the business being slow, but most U.S. online poker players agree that this is one of the best payment options.
Pre-paid Gift Cards
Pre-paid gift cards such as the Visa DeluxeCard are used by many online poker players. The cards are reloadable and can be used as many times as the purchaser wants for up to a year (each withdrawal is deducted from the card.) A pre-paid gift card can only be used for the amount deposited onto it.
The prices for the pseudo charge cards are affordable compared to the service fees for other payment solotions: $5.95 for $25 to $250 cards or $7.95 for $251 to $500 cards.
There is no limit on how many cards you can purchase and this of course makes pre-paid gift cards a good choice for high-stakes players.
Debit MasterCard
www.mastercard.com
Using Debit MasterCard is very convenient since money can be accessed directly from your personal bank account. Most online poker sites accept this online payment solution, and many players recommend this method for depositing.
Withdrawing money isn’t as easy, however. The best option is to have the poker site mail you a check directly, when you want to cash out.
Debit MasterCard doesn’t always work problem-free. There have been reports of cards being denied by poker sites for no apparent reason.
There are three different types of Debit MasterCard available: the Platinum Card, the Gold Card and the Standard Card.
Visa Check Card
www.visa.com
The Visa Check Card basically works the same way as the Debit MasterCard. You can deposit money directly from your bank account, and then ask the poker site to mail you a check when you want to cash out.
There have, however, been reports of Visa Check Cards being inexplicably denied, just like with Debit MasterCard.
People who use a Visa Check Card can earn points on their purchases through the Extras program, and there are other benefits that come with the card as well.
