Full Tilt's new offering is called Rush Poker, and true to its name, the exciting new game not only provides an adrenaline rush but also non-stop, fast action at the tables.
“Rush Poker - The Cadillac of Online Poker”
Not content to rest on their laurels as the second largest online poker site in the world, Full Tilt has rolled out a brand new twist that has the online poker world buzzing (and players flocking to the tables). Please click here to visit Full Tilt and try out Rush Poker.
What is Rush Poker
On the surface, Rush Poker is very similar to the NLHE and Omaha games you're familiar with. The rules and order of play are exactly the same, and you can buy in at various limits (it's currently spread only as high as .50/$1, however) and choose between sitting at a 6 max table or a full ring table. Select your stakes and what you want to buy in for and you'll be seated at a table and dealt your cards.
This is where the fun starts. In a normal game, you might get dealt 9 3 offsuit, at which point you pre-select fold or sit there, bored, waiting for the action to get to you so you can fold. After you've folded you sit there, bored, waiting for the hand to conclude so you can get dealt a new hand. Not so with Rush Poker.
How to Play Rush Poker Games
In Rush Poker, as soon as you fold (and you're given the option to immediately fold even before the action gets to you) you're teleported away from the table and seated at a brand new table, where you're immediately dealt a new hand. Fold that hand and boom, you're whisked away again in a flash to a new table, where a brand new hand awaits you.
If you call or raise, the hand progresses just like any normal game of poker, with action on various streets. The only change with Rush Poker is that it eliminates all of the downtime when you're waiting to fold a bad hand or have already folded and are just sitting there watching the action until a new hand is dealt.
As a result you end up getting to play about three times as many hands as normal and when you do play a hand, it's typically an exciting one, so Rush Poker tends to be pretty action-packed.
The Difference from Regular Poker
When you first buy-in, you're placed in a pool with 500-1,500 other players, so the lineup at the tables you sit at is constantly changing, as you never play with the exact same table of players for more than one hand.
While poker purists may complain and say that that fact takes a lot of the strategy out of the game, there are other subtle benefits from that format. Players who rely on software tools to data mine and learn playing tendencies of their opponents won't be able to use such tools in Rush Poker, so it levels the playing field and puts everyone on equal footing.
You're still playing poker and skill still matters, as winning players will still need to trap, bluff, and bully their way into scooping big pots.
Play Rush Poker
If you haven't already tried it, Rush Poker at Full Tilt is definitely worth giving a whirl. It's the same game of poker that you've come to love, just with a few tweaks to ensure that you enjoy the maximum amount of action possible.
